CLCF

History

CLCF, the oldest private Cinema School in Europe, offers four specialised programmes in cinema and television fiction training: assistant director, continuity supervisor, film editor, scripwritter

CLCF enjoys an excellent reputation among professionals due to its long history, the thoroughness of its training programmes and the professionalism of its young graduates on film sets.

Created in 1956, the CLCF was accredited by the French Ministry of National Education in 1963 and set up in the rue du Delta, in the 9th district of Paris. Patrick ZAMPA, a former student (1968 promotion), Chevalier des Arts et Lettres and member of the Academie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma , took over its direction in 1987.

To provide a better response to the quality requirement imposed by developments in the cinema industry and the widening of the demand, in 1993 CLCF inaugurated the "Marcel Carné" studios in the atmosphere of "Quai des Brumes", "Jour se lève » and "Hôtel du Nord ", in the 19th district of Paris.

Through its admission to CILECT (www.cilect.org) in 2003, along side FEMIS, it joined the ranks of the world’s most renowned cinema schools.

Certification of the Titles awarded appeared in the Official Journal 13-03-2004.
